VIII. JOINT CELEBRATIONS

The inhabitants of Podgórze willingly took part in mass events, e.g. in the Rękawka festival, in other words, a celebration held on the third day of Easter on Lasota Hill near the Church of Saint Benedict, fun with medieval roots, when it was celebrated on the Krakus Mound. During the meeting, members of the Catholic Collective in Kraków Podgórze, active from 1868, were photographed (it was established as the Artisan Collective of Podgórze and Neighbourhood, in the 20th century the name was changed to the General Society of Handicrafts).

Clerical and institutional workers as well as members of their families willingly posed for joint photographs, however, only a few such photographs remain today. Wishing to show as many former inhabitants of Podgórze as possible, using modern techniques, we have used figures from photographs presenting the construction of the town.
